ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police has announced the closure of sections of motorways M-1 and M-14 and GT Road N-5 to all traffic from the evening of September 23.

According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, M-1 will remain closed in both directions between Islamabad Toll Plaza and Chachh Interchange.

The closures will also affect Islamabad Toll Plaza, Fateh Jang/Tarnol Interchange, Sangjani/AWT Interchange, Brahma Bahtar Interchange, Burhan Interchange, Hazara Motorway Interchange, Ghazi Interchange and Chachh Interchange.

Similarly, M-14 will remain closed in both directions from Hakla to Kundal.

Hakla, Fateh Jang, Pindi Gheb, Khurpa, Tarap, Daud Khel, Kot Beliian, Isa Khel and Kundal interchanges will also remain closed during the closure period.

The Motorway Police further said GT Road N-5 would also be closed in both directions at Attock Khurd from the evening of September 23.

The National Highways and Motorway Police has advised citizens to plan their journeys in advance while keeping the traffic situation and affected routes in mind.
