RAWALPINDI: Kuwait’s Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah, accompanied by a high-level delegation, met Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday.

Kuwait’s Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan was also present during the meeting.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional ties and expanding mutually beneficial defence collaboration between Pakistan and Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professionalism and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their contributions towards regional peace and stability, the ISPR said.

The meeting reaffirmed Pakistan and Kuwait’s resolve to further consolidate their historic and brotherly relations into a strong and enduring defence partnership.

The two sides also underscored the importance of continued cooperation to contribute towards regional security and stability.
