Mansehra – Two policemen were injured late Sunday night when militants opened fire on a police patrol in the Gati Das area of Naran Valley.
According to a spokesperson for Mansehra police, unidentified armed assailants ambushed a police mobile van near the Gati Das checkpost, which falls under the jurisdiction of Naran Police Station.
The spokesperson said both policemen sustained bullet injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Their condition is reported to be out of danger.

Soon after the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra, Shafiullah Gandapur, reached the site. A heavy contingent of police led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Paras and the Station House Officer (SHO) Naran Valley cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the attackers.
Police said that Chilas authorities had also been alerted, and security checkpoints were established across adjoining areas to block possible escape routes.
