Seven arrested officers of NCCIA resign from service

NCCIA

Islamabad: Seven officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), who were recently arrested, have tendered their resignations from their official positions, according to sources.

The Interior Ministry has received the resignation letters of all seven officers, which were reportedly forwarded by the NCCIA two days ago. However, the ministry has not yet approved the resignations, sources added.

Last week, the Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore registered a corruption case against eight NCCIA officers. Among those arrested are an Additional Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Directors, and Sub-Inspectors.

Sources further revealed that the internal inquiry and legal proceedings against the accused officials are still underway.
