ISLAMABAD: Senator Irfan Siddiqui of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) has passed away after a period of illness. He had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad for the past two weeks.

Irfan Siddiqui served as the Parliamentary Leader of PML-N in the Senate and was considered a close aide of PML-N President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

His passing marks a significant loss for the party and his colleagues in the Senate.
