Security forces eliminate four militants in multiple operations in KP

Rawalpindi: Four militants linked to the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Khwarij were killed in separate intelligence-based operations conducted by security forces across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 17–18 November, according to ISPR.

An operation was launched in Bajaur District after reports of militant presence in the area. Security forces effectively engaged the hideout, and following an intense exchange of fire, one militant was killed.

Two more militants were neutralised in separate intelligence-based operations carried out in the Spinwam and Zakir Khel areas of North Waziristan District.

In another encounter in Dera Ismail Khan District, security forces eliminated a fourth militant.

According to ISPR, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist attacks in the region.

Sanitisation operations are under way to ensure the elimination of any remaining militants. The statement added that the ongoing counterterrorism campaign Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue with full resolve to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
