The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, with star leg-spinner Rashid Khan named captain.
The squad combines youth and experience, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran leading the batting line-up alongside Darwish Rasuli and Siddiqullah Atul. The middle order will feature Azmatullah Omarzai, Karim Jannat, and veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi.

Afghanistan’s pace attack includes Gulbadin Naib, Naveen-ul-Haq, Farid Ahmed Malik, and Fazal Haq Farooqi, while the spin unit will rely on Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Noor Ahmad, Sharafuddin Ashraf, and young AM Ghazanfar. Mohammad Ishaq has also been included to add depth to the side.
Ahead of the tournament, Afghanistan will compete in a tri-nation series to fine-tune their combinations. With Rashid Khan at the helm, the team aims to make a strong impression on the continental stage.
