President Zardari praises Qatar’s stance against Israeli aggression

Doha: President Asif Ali Zardari met with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, in Doha. The Qatari Prime Minister specially visited the President’s residence to hold the meeting.

During the discussion, both leaders reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance trade, and explore new avenues for investment between Pakistan and Qatar.

President Zardari lauded Qatar’s leadership for its firm stance against Israeli aggression and extended congratulations on the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2022, calling it a remarkable achievement that showcased Qatar’s global vision and organizational excellence.

Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed praised the courage and resilience of the Pakistani nation and armed forces during the recent Pakistan-India conflict and expressed optimism for improved peace efforts in Afghanistan.

President Zardari invited Qatar to expand its investments in Pakistan, particularly in the Pakistan Stock Exchange and energy sectors. The Qatari Prime Minister assured that Qatar would further increase its investment portfolio in Pakistan to strengthen economic cooperation.

First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar also attended the meeting.
