Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to attend the country’s Victory Day celebrations at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar is accompanying the Prime Minister on the visit.

Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Eyyubov, First Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mueenuddin, and members of the diplomatic staff.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with President Ilham Aliyev to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations.
