DOHA: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday met with His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha, convened in response to Israel’s recent attack on Qatar.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were also present during the meeting.
In their warm and cordial exchange, the two leaders discussed the regional situation following Israel’s aggression. Prime Minister Shehbaz strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a deliberate attempt to derail Middle East peace efforts.
The Prime Minister lauded the Saudi Crown Prince’s “bold and sagacious leadership” in uniting the Muslim world at a critical juncture. He assured the Kingdom of Pakistan’s full diplomatic support — particularly at the United Nations Security Council, where Pakistan is serving as a non-permanent member, as well as through the OIC and other multilateral fora.

The Prime Minister also conveyed warm regards for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts at the UNSC and OIC, particularly its solidarity with Qatar during this critical time.
