RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces delivered a strong response to what were described as provocations by the Afghan Taliban regime, with confirmed reports of 30 Afghan Taliban personnel killed, according to security sources.

Sources said the Afghan Taliban attempted to target Pakistani security check posts using quadcopters, but the attack was foiled due to timely and effective action by Pakistani troops. All incoming quadcopters were shot down before they could cause damage.

Security sources added that Pakistan’s forces continued retaliatory action using both small and heavy weapons. Drone surveillance and aerial platforms were also used to precisely target Afghan Taliban regime posts.

Officials maintained that operations were being conducted in a measured but firm manner to defend Pakistan’s territorial integrity and safeguard frontline positions.

Security sources further alleged that Afghan Taliban-linked media and social media platforms were circulating false claims and fake videos regarding the situation. They termed such content part of a propaganda campaign aimed at distorting ground realities.

Pakistan’s security establishment reiterated its resolve to respond decisively to any aggression while maintaining vigilance along the border.
