ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent attacks by Israeli occupying forces in Gaza, which have resulted in the loss of numerous civilian lives, calling upon the international community to take immediate and effective measures to halt the aggression.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the ongoing violence runs contrary to the spirit of the peace agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh — an accord witnessed by the leadership of Muslim and Arab nations, as well as representatives from the United States, Europe, and the United Nations.
The condemnation came after Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which both leaders discussed the deteriorating situation in Gaza and broader regional developments.

Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, the Foreign Office emphasized the need for a full implementation of the ceasefire, the protection of Palestinian civilians, and the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and viable State of Palestine with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
“Pakistan urges the international community to take urgent and effective measures to end these violations and ensure full implementation of the ceasefire and protection of Palestinian civilians,” the statement added.
Islamabad reaffirmed that peace in the Middle East remains unattainable without addressing the long-standing Palestinian issue based on justice, human rights, and international law.
