ISLAMABD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has strongly refuted rumors circulating on social media regarding alleged changes to the Pakistani passport’s design.
In an official statement, the department clarified that no changes have been made to the front cover page of the Pakistani passport. The images being shared on social media showing a different cover design were termed “fake and misleading.”

The statement emphasized that the only modifications introduced in recent months pertain to enhanced security features aimed at ensuring the document’s authenticity and global recognition.
Urging citizens to act responsibly, the department advised the public not to pay heed to baseless and fabricated reports circulating online.
“The Directorate General will take strict legal action against individuals or groups involved in spreading false information or propaganda regarding the national passport,” the statement added.
