NIC Islamabad hosts Annual Investors Summit 2025, spotlighting innovation and technology

ISLAMABAD: The Annual Investors Summit 2025 was held at the National Incubation Center (NIC) Islamabad, in collaboration with the Ministry of IT & Telecom and Ignite – National Technology Fund.

Themed “Investing in the Future with Innovation,” the summit brought together Pakistan’s leading investors and venture capitalists, spotlighting startups driving change through technology and entrepreneurship.

A special showcase of NIC Islamabad’s startups included EZGyser, Pani Express, Chrio, EKKO, EPO, EMR, Carboncap, Your Munshi, and Bio Nano. The event served as a crucial platform linking visionary founders with investors, advancing Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem.

Among the highlights, EZGyser presented an energy-efficient solution to Pakistan’s recurring winter challenge of hot water shortages, offering a safe and cost-effective system amid ongoing gas and electricity crises. Pani Express introduced a tech-based platform for urban water supply, replacing unreliable tanker services with transparent, timely deliveries. Meanwhile, Chrio showcased its AI-powered cricket broadcasting solution, automating video analysis and production to make professional-grade coverage accessible for every match and league.

The Annual Investors summit also featured a panel discussion where investors shared insights on building investment-ready startups. Panelists included Abees bin Abdullah (Fatima Gobi Ventures), Kamil Aziz (Zayn VC), Samraiz (Indus VC), Usman Khalid (Ground Up), Moiz Waseem (Sai Ventures), Nyab Babar (PSF), Qamar Malik (Pak Angels), Janine Rohrer (German Embassy), Kubra Naqvi (Abhi Microfinance), Qurat ul Ain Chaudhry (MMBL), Haris Shah (Abhi Microfinance), Sikandar Khan (22 Ventures), Ruhma Labeeb, and Ayaz Khan (Accelerate Prosperity) among others.

Speaking at the event, Abees bin Abdullah of Fatima Gobi Ventures said: “NIC Islamabad continues to nurture startups that are not only innovative but also deeply connected to Pakistan’s real needs. The ideas presented today have the potential to transform industries.”

The summit concluded with appreciation shields presented to investors and partners, followed by high tea, reaffirming NIC Islamabad’s commitment to fostering a stronger, inclusive, and dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan.
