Monsoon Rains Kill 26, Damage 781 Homes in Balochistan

Quetta: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report detailing the losses caused by monsoon rains in Balochistan since June.

According to the report, in Balochistan 26 people, including 16 children and four women, have died, while nine others were injured due to floods and related incidents.

The rains have damaged 781 houses, of which 101 were completely destroyed and 680 partially damaged. At least 357 solar systems and 180 acres of agricultural land were also ruined.

Infrastructure losses include four government offices, 16 school buildings, and damage to the BB Nani Bridge on the National Highway in Bolan due to floodwaters.
