Mohsin Naqvi inaugurates new sports facilities for diplomats

ISLAMABAD: Diplomats in the Diplomatic Enclave can now enjoy Padel Tennis, as Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the newly constructed Padel Tennis Court and Fitness Arena.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Senator Faisal Saleem, and Acting U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker.

Following the inauguration, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with Natalie Baker, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, participated in a friendly Padel Tennis match.

Speaking at the event, Naqvi said the new facility would provide diplomats with a modern venue for sports and recreation. “Promoting sports and healthy activities is among our top priorities,” he said.

He added that renovation work in the Diplomatic Enclave has already begun and will be completed soon. “No effort will be spared in providing all necessary facilities to the diplomatic community. Our goal is to make their stay in Islamabad comfortable and secure,” he stated.

The minister reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Islamabad into a world-class capital, saying, “Sports and culture are vital means of bringing people together. Hospitality and courtesy are the hallmarks of the Pakistani nation.”

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad were also present on the occasion.
