Interior minister orders strict action over corruption allegations against NCCIA officers

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has ordered an immediate and comprehensive inquiry into allegations of large-scale corruption involving officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

According to sources, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed strong displeasure over reports that certain officers were involved in corrupt practices and ordered swift and strict disciplinary action against all those found guilty.

The investigation has been expanded to include multiple NCCIA officials allegedly involved in using the names of specific institutions during raids for personal gain. Sources revealed that preliminary findings suggest billions of rupees were collected during these operations and later transferred abroad.

Authorities are now gathering records of foreign travel by several officers as part of the probe. Further inquiries will also be conducted with other senior officials of the agency.

Sources added that Deputy Director Usman is currently under investigation and is believed to have played a key role in the entire matter.
