India A crush Pakistan A by eight wickets in Asia Cup Rising Stars Women’s 2026

TARDTHAI: India A produced a dominant all-round performance to register a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over Pakistan A in the ACC Asia Cup Rising Stars Women’s 2026 on Sunday.

Chasing a modest target of 94, India A overcame an early setback when opener Humaira Kazi was dismissed on the very first delivery. However, Dinesh Vrinda and Anushka Sharma quickly steadied the innings, launching an aggressive counterattack.

The duo added 79 runs for the second wicket, effectively taking the match away from Pakistan A. Vrinda remained unbeaten on a blistering 59 off just 29 balls, striking 12 boundaries, while Anushka chipped in with a valuable 24 before being dismissed.

For Pakistan A, Waheeda Akhtar and Momina Riasat claimed a wicket each, but the low target offered little room for recovery.

Earlier, Pakistan A endured a disastrous batting display after opting to bat first. They were bowled out for only 93, losing four wickets for 21 runs inside the powerplay and never managing to rebuild.

Shawaal Zulfiqar top-scored with 23, Gull Rukh made 21, and Anosha Nasir contributed 17, while the rest of the lineup failed to reach double figures.

India A’s bowlers were relentless throughout the innings. Saima Thakor, Radha Yadav and Prema Rawat each picked up two wickets to dismantle Pakistan A’s batting order.

Both sides are placed in Group A alongside Nepal and the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan began their campaign with a win over Nepal, while India A had suffered an opening defeat against the UAE.
