Islamabad: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary Information Ahmed Jawad has been arrested under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) from G-13, Islamabad.
According to officials, the arrest was carried out by the National Cyber Crime Agency following a case registered against him for posting controversial content on social media during the recent Pakistan-India conflict.
The FIR states that Ahmed Jawad shared posts containing false and anti-state narratives aimed at creating confusion during a time of national security sensitivity. The posts allegedly ridiculed state institutions and personalities.

Authorities confirmed that Ahmed Jawad, who had previously been affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is currently under investigation for his social media activity deemed harmful to the state’s integrity and national unity.
