Fifteen terrorists killed, five soldiers martyerd in Kurram: ISPR

ISPR

Security Forces foiled multiple infiltration attempts by Indian-sponsored militants across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Ghaki, Kurram District and Spinwam, North Waziristan District, on 24 and 25 October, killing twenty-five terrorists, including four suicide bombers belonging to Fitna al-Khwarij.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the infiltrators were detected by security troops attempting to cross into Pakistani territory. In swift and precise operations, troops effectively engaged both groups, inflicting heavy losses and recovering a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the slain militants.

During the intense fire exchanges, five soldiers embraced Shahadat after fighting gallantly:

  • Havildar Manzoor Hussain (35, District Ghizar)
  • Sepoy Nauman Ilyas Kiyani (23, District Poonch)
  • Sepoy Muhammad Adil (24, District Kasur)
  • Sepoy Shah Jehan (25, District Vehari)
  • Sepoy Ali Asghar (25, District Pak Pattan)

The ISPR noted that these infiltration attempts occurred while Pakistan and Afghanistan delegations were engaged in talks in Türkiye, raising serious concerns about the intentions of the Interim Afghan Government regarding its commitments under the Doha Agreement. Pakistan reiterated its demand for Kabul to ensure effective border management and prevent the use of Afghan soil for terrorism against Pakistan.

A sanitization operation is under way to clear remaining threats in the area. The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s Security Forces remain steadfast in their mission to defend national borders and eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism under Operation “Azm-e-Istehkam.”
