RAWALPINDI: Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in Bannu District on 21 November 2025 following reports about the presence of militants, according to a statement issued by ISPR.
During the operation, security personnel effectively engaged the militant hideout, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, eight terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij were killed.
ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed militants, who had been actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and in targeted killings of innocent civilians.
The military’s media wing said the operation reflects improved coordination between security forces and law enforcement institutions. These joint efforts have significantly intensified intelligence-led actions in the region to restrict militant movement, dismantle their support networks, and prevent their regrouping.
ISPR added that these security measures are yielding tangible results in restoring peace and stability in the area.
A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining militants in the area. The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
