ECNEC approves Rs212bn Jinnah Medical Complex project

ISLAMABAD: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, on Friday approved the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Project at an estimated cost of Rs212 billion.

The project envisages the establishment of a state-of-the-art tertiary care hospital with fully integrated services. While granting approval, ECNEC directed the constitution of a committee to ensure financing arrangements and timely execution of the scheme.

The meeting was attended by the ministers for planning and finance, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, provincial ministers and federal secretaries from the Cabinet, Planning, Finance, Health and Economic Affairs Division.
