KARACHI: Police investigators have identified suspects involved in a multi-million-rupee dacoity at the bungalow of a senior police officer in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), officials said on Monday.
The Dacoity took place in the early hours of Saturday near Khayaban-i-Mujahid, where armed men stormed the residence of SSP Touheedur Rehman. The suspects held the family hostage at gunpoint and fled with valuables and cash worth over Rs210 million.

According to investigation sources, the suspects had used a luxury white jeep in the heist. The vehicle, which carried a fake number plate, was rented by the gang to carry out the operation. Police said the jeep has been recovered during the probe.
Officials added that efforts are underway to trace and arrest the culprits.
