Lahore: A local court on Wednesday extended by four days the physical remand of popular YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, in a case related to alleged promotion of gambling applications and uploading obscene content online.
Mr Rehman was arrested on August 17 from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, after the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) accused him of facilitating betting platforms. He was produced in court after completing a two-day remand.
During proceedings, the investigating officer, Shoaib Riaz, sought a 28-day extension, arguing that the suspect was connected to an international gambling network. However, the court only extended the remand until August 23, directing authorities to present him again upon expiry.

Officials claimed that WhatsApp chats and payment records retrieved from Mr Rehman’s phone indicated links with operators of gambling apps. He allegedly acted as a country manager for one such application without approval from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) or the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The NCCIA alleged that through the promotion of unregistered gambling platforms, the YouTuber indirectly caused financial losses to users.
Separately, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in July uncovered a major online fraud involving billions of rupees, tricking thousands through fake jobs and businesses. The case named several foreign firms and local private banks allegedly complicit in the scheme.
