ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to process all payments exclusively through banking channels, discontinuing manual cheque transactions.

According to a notification issued by the federal civic agency, salaries, pensions and other disbursements to CDA employees will now be made only via online banking. Payments from the Treasury Division and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Directorate will no longer be processed through cheques.

The notification directed all director generals, directors and drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) to provide details of their bank accounts, IBANs, CNICs and mobile phone numbers to ensure smooth processing. It added that incomplete DP sheets would not be accepted by the Treasury Division.

“No cheque will be issued manually under any circumstances,” the notification stated, warning that officers failing to comply would face departmental action.
