PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam will represent Peshawar Zalmi in a special charity match to raise funds for flood-affected communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The “Flood Relief Exhibition Match”, to be held on August 30 at the newly built Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar, carries the slogan “Khel Se Khidmat” — service through sports.
Cricketing legends including Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, and Kamran Akmal are also expected to participate. The stadium, still under construction, will host a crowd of 17,000 spectators for the occasion.

Tickets have been priced at Rs1,000 for general seats. In addition, 800 VIP tickets and 200 VVIP tickets were issued, with VVIP seats priced at Rs50,000 each. According to organisers, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and members of his cabinet have purchased all VVIP tickets.
The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM (local time). Organisers confirmed that all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to flood relief efforts.
