The Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), began with special prayers for the martyrs of recent terror attacks carried out by Indian-sponsored proxy networks. The forum paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security personnel and reaffirmed that the blood of the martyrs would not go in vain.
The forum reviewed the recent successes of Pakistan’s security forces against terrorist proxies. It reaffirmed that the protection and safety of the people of Pakistan remain the armed forces’ top priority. The participants stressed that decisive and comprehensive actions against Indian-backed and sponsored proxies must continue at all levels.
The forum observed that after suffering a clear setback in the Pahalgam incident, India is now attempting to push its malicious agenda further by using proxies affiliated with Khawarij and Hindutva ideologies. The Army Chief also briefed the forum on Pakistan’s active diplomatic role during recent successful visits to Iran, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates along with the Prime Minister.
The forum was further briefed on the Army Chief’s historic and unique visit to the United States, during which Pakistan’s purposeful stance on bilateral, regional, and global issues was directly presented to senior American leadership. The forum also held a detailed review of internal and external security matters in the context of recent developments in the Middle East and Iran.
Concerns were expressed over the growing global trend of using force as a preferred policy tool. The forum noted that this changing approach makes it essential for Pakistan to enhance its self-reliance and further emphasize national unity and determination.
The Army Chief stated that India’s attempt to involve a third party in bilateral military tensions is a baseless move to promote bloc politics. He added that this poor attempt aims to falsely present India as a regional net security provider. In reality, the world is increasingly wary of India’s expansionist ambitions and the dangerous rise of Hindutva extremism.
The forum was also briefed on the evolving nature of warfare and Pakistan Army’s strategic innovations. The Army Chief appreciated the leadership of the Pakistan Navy and Air Force for strengthening tri-services harmony and expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of the armed forces against all threats.
