Maryam Nawaz leaves for Azerbaijan to attend World Urban Forum

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz departed on Friday for a three-day official visit to Azerbaijan to represent Pakistan at the World Urban Forum in Baku.

The global event is scheduled to take place from May 17 to 20, where world leaders and policymakers are expected to discuss urban development and sustainable cities.

During the visit, Maryam Nawaz is also scheduled to meet the President of Azerbaijan on May 17 as part of her official engagements.

According to officials, the Punjab chief minister will be hosted as a special state guest during her stay in Azerbaijan.

She is expected to address the World Leaders Summit at the Baku Olympic Stadium, where she will highlight Pakistan’s participation and perspectives at the international forum.

Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Information Minister Azma Bukhari are accompanying the chief minister on the visit.
