ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday conducted a successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II Missile System, equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
According to the military’s media wing, the launch was aimed at training troops, validating technical parameters and evaluating the performance of various sub-systems designed to improve accuracy and survivability.
The training launch was carried out by the Army Rocket Force Command and was witnessed by senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Pakistan Army, and scientists and engineers from strategic organisations.
“The forum commended successful training fire of indigenously developed missile of Fateh series,” the ISPR said in a statement.
Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir appreciated the efforts of the teams involved, praising their technical expertise and commitment.
The development comes days after the Pakistan Navy successfully conducted a live firing of the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an indigenous anti-ship weapon system.
The ISPR said the demonstration reflected a significant boost to Pakistan’s defence capabilities, strengthening its multi-dimensional and coordinated strike posture in the conventional domain.
