ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s weekly inflation increased by 0.12%, according to the latest report released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), taking the overall annualized weekly inflation rate to 3.20%.
The PBS report noted that during the week, prices of 21 items rose, while 8 items became cheaper, and 22 items saw no change.

Key price movements included:
- Wheat (Atta): up 5.07%
- Chicken: up 2.86%
- Garlic: up 2.44%
- Chili Powder: up 1.01%
- Packaged Tea: up 0.73%
- Sugar: up 0.58%
- Basmati Rice: up 0.14%
On the other hand, some items became cheaper:
- Potatoes: down 3.73%
- Onions: down 2.20%
- Chickpeas (Daal Chana): down 1.51%
- Eggs: down 1.44%
- Mung Beans (Daal Mash): down 0.65%
- Bananas: down 0.21%
- Tomatoes: down 0.05%
The PBS report on Weekly Inflation highlights that prices of 22 commodities remained stable during the week, reflecting partial relief in certain sectors of the market.
