ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik on Friday held an important meeting with Pakistani ambassadors posted abroad, directing them to actively engage diplomatic channels to ensure strong global participation in the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum (PMIF) 2026.
Addressing the meeting, the minister said PMIF 2026 would serve as a major international platform to attract global investment in Pakistan’s minerals sector. He instructed envoys to highlight Pakistan’s vast mineral potential and encourage leading international companies, investors and stakeholders to attend the forum.
Ali Pervaiz Malik noted that the previous edition of the forum witnessed participation from more than 5,000 delegates representing over 50 countries. He said 14 memorandums of understanding were signed with international mining companies during the last forum, reflecting growing global confidence in Pakistan’s mineral resources.
“This increasing international interest is a clear sign of trust in Pakistan’s minerals sector,” the minister said, adding that the government was determined to build on last year’s success and organise PMIF 2026 on an even larger scale.
He announced that the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 will be held in Islamabad on April 8 and 9, 2026, and reiterated the government’s commitment to positioning Pakistan as an attractive destination for sustainable and responsible mineral investment.
