ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, on Thursday called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Upon his arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting air chief was received by Admiral Naveed Ashraf. During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual professional interest, the evolving regional security environment and avenues to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.
The naval chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional maritime peace and stability through various initiatives and emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing shared security challenges.

Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan praised the high professional standards of the Pakistan Navy and expressed a desire to further enhance collaboration between the armed forces of the two countries. Both dignitaries agreed on the need to increase the frequency of high-level exchanges and joint training exercises to promote greater operational synergy.

The visit of the Bangladesh Air Chief reflects the deepening defence ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh and follows Admiral Naveed Ashraf’s visit to Dhaka in late 2025, which had also focused on expanding military-to-military cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
