Dubai is set to welcome 2026 with a breathtaking series of fireworks displays, as authorities prepare to light up the skyline with 48 shows across 40 iconic locations.
From the Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah to Dubai Creek Harbour and Global Village, the celebrations are expected to captivate millions of residents and visitors, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation for hosting some of the world’s most elaborate New Year’s Eve events.
According to officials, fireworks will be staged at major landmarks including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, The World Islands, Dubai Festival City, Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Creek Harbour, Global Village, Al Seef, Hatta and Bluewaters. Each location will feature choreographed displays designed to create a city-wide visual spectacle.
The celebrations will not be limited to Dubai alone, as fireworks are also planned at more than ten locations across Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, adding to the nationwide festivities in the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier reports said the Dubai Mall will also host a striking light display to complement the fireworks at the Burj Khalifa. Emirati businessman Mohammed Al Abbar, whose company developed both the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, is personally overseeing preparations for the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Authorities have advised residents and visitors to plan ahead as large crowds are expected at key viewing points across the city.
