WEB DESK: A police mobile van came under attack in a suspected suicide bombing in Lakki Marwat on Sunday, leaving multiple personnel injured. The explosion took place near the Kotkhel Adda area, close to the Tajuzai police station.

Initial reports suggest that the attacker detonated explosives near the police vehicle, wounding several officers. Emergency responders rushed to the site and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to determine the nature and motive of the attack.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi strongly condemned the Lakki Marwat incident, reiterating that maintaining law and order remains the government’s top priority.

He also paid tribute to a police officer who embraced martyrdom while confronting the terrorists, stating that the courage and sacrifices of the force will always be honoured. “The provincial government stands firmly with the police,” Afridi said, adding that such cowardly acts cannot weaken their resolve.
