Rawalpindi: Security forces in Pakistan successfully eliminated twenty militants belonging to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 8-9 November.
In response to intelligence reports of militant presence, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Shawal area of North Waziristan. During the engagement, security forces effectively targeted militant positions, neutralizing eight Indian-sponsored militants.
A second operation was carried out in Dara Adam Khel District, where an intense exchange of fire resulted in the elimination of twelve more militants.
Ongoing sanitization efforts are underway to ensure the removal of any remaining militant elements in the region. These operations form part of Pakistan’s relentless counter-terrorism campaign, conducted under the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism and safeguarding the country from external threats.
