ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting in Islamabad to finalize the agenda for the 8th Session of the Pakistan-Oman Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) scheduled to be held next week in Islamabad.
During the meeting, participants reviewed progress across all key areas of bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Oman.
Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for a comprehensive and results-oriented strategy to further strengthen Pakistan-Oman relations. He instructed relevant ministries to place special focus on trade, investment, energy, manpower export, and maritime cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration in education, logistics, and consular affairs, and called for expediting progress on memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting exports and creating employment opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister’s Adviser Tariq Bajwa, Secretaries of Economic Affairs and Interior, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, and senior officials from relevant ministries and departments.
