ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have dealt terrorists their most severe blow in ten years through timely and successful counterterrorism operations across the country, reaffirming their resolve, professionalism, and sacrifice in the fight against militancy.
According to a report released by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), October marked the worst month for terrorists in a decade, as security forces intensified their intelligence-based operations, effectively dismantling militant networks in multiple regions.
The report highlighted that 355 terrorists were killed, while 72 security personnel and 31 civilians embraced martyrdom in various operations and attacks during the month.
Comparative data showed that the number of terrorist incidents in September decreased by 52 percent compared to August, reflecting the growing impact of ongoing counterterrorism measures.
The PICSS militancy database also recorded a 19 percent reduction in overall casualties from terrorist incidents in October, underlining the success of sustained security operations and improved intelligence coordination.
Observers note that the decline in attacks and the surge in militant losses demonstrate the effectiveness of intelligence-based operations and the resilience of Pakistan’s security forces in ensuring national stability.
