ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said that strong and sustainable Pakistan-US relations are closely linked to better economic ties and increased investment cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking to a delegation from the Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington, the ambassador emphasized that the United States remains Pakistan’s largest trading partner, yet the current volume of trade holds vast potential for expansion.
“Low-cost and high-quality Pakistani products offer a competitive advantage over goods from other countries in the region,” said Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh. He stressed the need to diversify exports beyond traditional sectors and to align business strategies with market demands to multiply the current trade volume.

The ambassador also underlined the importance of collective thinking and optimal use of available resources to meet the needs of the large American market. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening trade diplomacy and supporting private sector initiatives that can enhance bilateral economic engagement.
