ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to temporarily close parts of its airspace adjoining India for two days, aviation sources confirmed.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the closure will be in effect on October 28 and 29 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. each day. The restricted zones include several air routes within the Lahore and Karachi Flight Information Regions (FIRs) that border India.

A Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) has been issued to all airlines and aviation companies, advising commercial flights to exercise caution and plan operations accordingly.
Aviation sources suggested the decision may be linked to Indian military exercises near the border, prompting precautionary measures to ensure flight safety.
During the two-day restriction, Pakistan’s airspace will remain closed for three hours each morning before being reopened for normal air traffic.
