RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at the Itihadia Presidential Palace in Cairo, where both leaders reaffirmed the historic friendship between Pakistan and Egypt and discussed ways to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries exchanged views on regional peace, security, and socio-economic collaboration. The Army Chief Asim Munir praised Egypt’s leadership role in maintaining regional stability, while President el-Sisi acknowledged Pakistan’s proactive contributions to global and Muslim world affairs.
Both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening coordination on issues of mutual strategic interest and deepening people-to-people connections. They also emphasized expanding collaboration in technology, security, and socio-economic development.
