PAF Chief discusses enhanced defence cooperation with Romanian Air Chief

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, held detailed talks with Lieutenant General Leonard-Gabriel Baraboi, Chief of the Romanian Air Force Staff, during an official visit to Romania aimed at boosting bilateral defence and operational cooperation.

Upon arrival at the Romanian Air Force Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Romanian Air Force.

During their meeting, both air chiefs discussed expanding joint air exercises, training exchanges, and collaboration in advanced aerospace technologies. They also exchanged views on regional and global security, reaffirming the importance of cooperation in maintaining stability.

Lieutenant General Baraboi lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Air Force and acknowledged its achievements in indigenisation under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Sidhu.

Both sides agreed to strengthen institutional mechanisms for sustained military collaboration and to explore new avenues for defence-industrial partnerships.

The Air Chief’s visit marks a significant milestone in Pakistan-Romania defence ties, underscoring a shared commitment to peace, development, and regional stability.
