34 India-backed terrorists killed in KP ops: ISPR

ISPR

WEB DESK: Security forces killed 34 India-sponsored foreign terrorists during multiple intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between October 13 and 15, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

According to the ISPR, 18 terrorists were killed in Spenwam, North Waziristan, while another eight were neutralised in Bannu. The operations were carried out on confirmed intelligence about the presence of foreign militants.

The military’s media wing said the terrorists’ presence was traced through intelligence reports, leading to “successful and precise actions” that eliminated several militants. Search and clearance operations are ongoing to eradicate remaining threats.

Earlier, security forces killed over 35 members of Fitna al-Khawarij in Mohmand and North Waziristan amid escalating cross-border tensions. Pakistan also struck militant strongholds in Kabul and Kandahar, destroying India-backed command centres and Taliban battalions.

The Afghan Taliban suffered heavy losses, prompting Kabul to request a 48-hour ceasefire. Pakistan’s Foreign Office said while it remains open to dialogue, it will defend its territorial integrity and eliminate all threats emanating from Afghan soil.
