ISLAMABAD: Senior diplomat Tahir Hussain Andrabi is expected to be appointed as the new Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sources confirmed on Friday.
Andrabi, who is currently serving as Additional Foreign Secretary, has previously held key diplomatic assignments, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tunisia and important postings in Geneva.
The decision to appoint him as spokesperson comes after Shafqat Ali Khan was designated as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to diplomatic sources, Andrabi’s name has been finalized and the official notification of his appointment as Foreign Office Spokesperson is expected soon.
