IGP Islamabad reviews safe city measures, calls for enhanced use of technology

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office with DG Safe City and DIG Headquarters Muhammad Haroon Joya to review security measures and technological upgrades under the Safe City Islamabad project.

The meeting focused on expanding the use of modern technology for surveillance and crime prevention, while ensuring robust security arrangements for citizens. Discussions also covered administrative reforms, performance improvement and enhancing public service standards.

IGP Rizvi stressed that advanced techniques must be fully utilised to provide maximum facilitation to citizens at every platform.

“Maintaining peace and tranquility, preventing crime and protecting the lives and property of citizens in the federal capital are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police,” he said.

He reaffirmed his commitment to both citizen safety and the welfare of the police force, noting that continuous improvements were being pursued on both fronts.
