WEB DESK: Television actor Sarah Omair, known for her roles in Roug, Kathputli, Maaye Nee and her debut in Thora Sa Aasma (PTV, 2008), has confirmed her separation from director Mohsin Talat.
After years away from the screen to focus on family life and raising her two sons, Omair recently returned to television through Tamasha Season 4. Behind the comeback, however, she says, was a period of deep personal upheaval.
‘Overwhelming time’
In an interview, Omair revealed that the divorce was finalised only months before her participation in the reality show. “It was a very disturbing time for me, both mentally and emotionally. I was navigating life as a single parent and it was overwhelming,” she shared.
She added that joining Tamasha gave her much-needed respite. “I wanted to be in a place where there were no phones, no signals, no constant reminders. I needed peace of mind, and Allah gave me that opportunity through Tamasha,” she said.

Reflecting on her experience inside the show, Omair remarked that the on-screen conflicts felt small compared to the challenges she had endured privately. “For someone who has been through so much, Tamasha felt like a piece of cake,” she noted.
Her honesty has resonated with fans, many of whom praised her strength in confronting personal struggles publicly. For supporters, Omair’s story has become a symbol of resilience after heartbreak and the quiet determination needed to begin again.
