ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday met Bahrain’s Interior Minister General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa at the Prime Minister’s House. Welcoming the visiting dignitary, the prime minister extended his best wishes for King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
PM Shehbaz highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, which, he said, continued to strengthen with time. He emphasized Pakistan’s desire to expand cooperation with Bahrain in trade and other diverse sectors, noting that nearly 120,000 Pakistanis living in Bahrain were contributing to the progress of both countries.
The prime minister said Pakistan was facilitating Bahraini investors and businessmen through faster visa processing and urged Bahraini investment in multiple sectors of Pakistan’s economy. He underscored that the Special Investment Facilitation Council was playing a vital role in providing maximum ease to foreign investors. He also offered training opportunities for Bahraini police personnel at the National Police Academy in Islamabad.

General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Special Assistant to the PM Tariq Fatemi, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
