PM Reaffirms Pakistan’s Unwavering Support for Palestine

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause during a meeting with H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Siddiqui Alhabash, Advisor to the President of Palestine on Religious Affairs and Chief Justice of the Shariat Court.

Alhabash, leading the Palestinian delegation to attend the Seerat Conference in Islamabad, was accompanied by the Imam of Al Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan.

The Prime Minister conveyed warm regards to President Mahmoud Abbas and assured that Pakistan would continue to back the Palestinian people, who have endured enormous sacrifices in the face of Israeli aggression. He pledged to raise his voice “with full force” at all diplomatic forums in support of Palestine.

On the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, he said Pakistan would keep sending aid, describing the situation as a “man-made famine” caused by Israeli occupation forces.

Alhabash expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s consistent support, recalling the historic friendship between the two nations and terming Pakistan a source of strength during challenging times. The delegation also extended condolences over recent flood damages in Pakistan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas was handed over to the Prime Minister. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, Chairman Islamic Council, the Foreign Secretary, and Secretary Religious Affairs were also present.
