LAHORE: In a bid to tackle worsening traffic congestion, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has decided to introduce drone technology for monitoring traffic flow across Lahore.

According to officials, an initial fleet of 10 drones will be deployed by the end of September to keep surveillance on major thoroughfares and congested junctions. The drones will identify gridlocked areas and immediately alert traffic wardens, enabling them to reach the spot and ensure smoother flow.
