Inter Milan concluded their pre-season campaign on a winning note with a 2-0 victory over Greek champions Olympiacos in a well-attended friendly at the Stadio San Nicola on Saturday night.
Federico Dimarco opened the scoring in the 16th minute, finishing neatly from a Lautaro Martinez assist. However, the defender was forced off the field 13 minutes later after sustaining a thigh injury and was replaced by Luis Henrique.
Inter doubled their lead in the 53rd minute when Marcus Thuram pounced on a rebound after Olympiacos goalkeeper failed to hold a Denzel Dumfries strike.

Coach Cristian Chivu used the opportunity to field younger players including Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny, while resting key players like Martinez and Thuram later in the match.
Olympiacos, who had been impressive in previous outings, struggled to penetrate Inter’s solid defence. Despite enjoying almost equal possession, their attempts on goal were either off target or comfortably saved by Inter’s goalkeeper Andre Sommer.
The result capped off an unbeaten pre-season for Inter Milan ahead of the Serie A campaign.
