NEW YORK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Bulgarian Foreign Minister Dr Velislava Petrova-Chamova on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Bulgaria bilateral ties and expressed their desire to enhance relations through regular political and economic engagement.

Dar and the Bulgarian foreign minister also exchanged views on regional and global developments.

The deputy prime minister underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable means of resolving outstanding issues and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing regional challenges.

Both sides agreed to remain engaged and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, while maintaining close contact on bilateral and regional matters.
